How to Choose the Material for CNC Plastic Prototype
There are many varieties of CNC plastic prototype.Each material has
different characteristic. Customer has specific requirement of CNC
prototype they wanted. Some customers want to make CNC plastic
prototype with heat resisting. Some customers want to make CNC
plastic prototype to split but can not influence strength. Some want
to make transparent prototype. Some customer want to make
bending prototype. How to choose the material for CNC prototype.

If CNC plastic prototype with heat resisting need to be made, PP is
the best material. In all plastic material, PP’s heat resisting is the
best. The highest temperature is 250 degree without out of shape.
The resistance to elevated temperatures of PTFE, but it is seldom
to make prototype.
If the CNC prototype need to be split, many plastic material can
achieve. But ABS is the best, because its stickiness is relatively good.
If transparent prototype need to be manufactured, PC and PMMA
can be chose. If customers want to make the prototype with high
transparency, PMMA is the best choose. The transparency of
PMMA is higher than PC. It is also easy to polish and it will
don’t have crack when polishing.PC prototype is relatively
strenuous when polishing.
If the plastic prototype need to be bending, PP is the best choice.
