How to Keep Prototype with No Deformation
Prototype is not the finally product. It may crack or out of shap under
the factors of external force,temperature and environment. How to
maintain prototype? What kind of preventive measures can keep
prototype in shape? How to aviod the deformation of prototype
and result in scraping of the whole prototype.
The detailed analysis will be described below.
1. The reason of crack on prototype is because inner stress
crack greater than the maximum of bearing capacity of prototype.
Ifprototype appears crack, this is hell and gone damage.
2. Why the prototype will be out of shape? Internal stress will
make uneven loading of prototype, so the prototype will be out of shape.
Three methods to prevent deformation of prototype
1. To prevent deformation of prototype, uniformity of thickness
and symmetric stress of shape should be design. The concretionary
method should be used when casting process. This method can
reduce internal stress to reach the purpose of preventing deformation.
In addition, the prevention of long-shape prototype is reverse-deformation method.
2. Heat cracking of prototype is caused by mechanical stress when
metal solidification. The solution is improve the structure of prototype
to make less metal contact surface. Another method is that control the
sulphur content and increase temper embrittlement of metal.
3. Cold crack is caused by low temperature. The cold crack is always small.
When manufacture huge and thin prototype, cold crack may happen.
Similarly, the preventative method reduce internal stress and control
content phosphorus in metal.
During the manufacturing of prototype, no deformation prototype
need prototype workers with rich experience to deal with internal
stress and other factors. Prototype workers should deal with stress
and its balance, adjust the proportion of sulphur and phosphorus,
optimize good structure and reduce metal hot.
