Traditional prototype model design manufacturing

Due to the technical limitations in the past,prototype model manufacturing mainly produced by 
manually,material Material generally adopt easy molding clay, plaster, wood, plastic plate,etc.
The dimensional accuracy is low, the main purpose is to show physical form of the sample.
The requirement to the production staff manual skill is high,and the system theory is little.
Here we divide the traditional model into three categories according to the different processing 
methods.
1 .plate model
We separate the surface of our model,to be a plane parts,bonding together after blanking.This
 kind model use less material ,convenient to manufacture,but the suitable model is less,and
 the precision and strength of the model is not high, the most widely used is building model.
2.Easy deformation material model 
Easy deformation material model is the model directly through the simple material to add and
subtract process,the mainly consist of clay ,sludge,and gypsum model,completely made by 
production staff workmanship.This kind of prototype with poor strength , low dimensional 
accuracy ,but the requirements to the equipment is low and the modification is convenient, 
particularly suitable for the creative stage of the design improvement.
3.Surface model
The manufacturing of the traditional surface model is similar with today's rapid prototyping 
technology , but the stratification is not so fine.Generally divide the parts into a dozen layers, 
draw graphics of each section on the plate according to the size ,blanking after finishing,
then adhesive each section according to the requirement, and then file and template finishing.
 Obviously this method is large project, and with low dimensional accuracy.
