The polishing skills of prototype surface
Polishing is generally a necessary craft process of prototype product. The surface of a part will
emerge many burrs, knife scar after CNC processing. It cannot be avoided, then need human
manual dispose these flaws. Generally, we use sand paper or polishing anoint to polish. And
also can adopt some spray putty processing to test artificial effect and quality.
Prototype including
appearance prototype and
structure prototype . We here explain colored
surface treatment requirement of appearance prototype. Generally, the surface treatment of
appearance product need as close as finished product ,so that can test the appearance effect.
When make polishing, first need to use very thick sand paper to make rough processing
polishing, and then make microgroove polishing after removing the very thick burr. The sand
paper can be divided into different degree 800,1000,2000. According to the requirements of
the products surface for different degree polishing . After polishing one time , then through
spray a layer of putty, can magnify the rough degree of the product surface, so that the naked
eye can see the flaw degree. Then can make key point of local correction , until finish all
polishing process of one product.
