3.The clamping position
a.The clamping tool of the common machine generally by parallel-jaw vice or special machine
fixture, but here the material is PMMA,the hardness is soft,if use ordinary method will make
the workpiece deformation or damage.So when design the CNC milling machine,put a piece
of ABS plate on the original workbench,through 502 glue to stick the PMMA workpiece and ABS
workbench strongly,play the role of the clamping positioning.
b.Positive rough processing
The front of the lamp shade can be regarded as a cavity part,so adopt chamfer processing.
c.Positive semi-processing
The positive semi-processing tool also use the rough processing cutter, the knife way adopt
curved parallel finish processing.
d.Positive finish processing
There are two steps:
1.For > 800 curved use high finish processing.
2.For <800 curved use parallel finish processing
e.Local finish processing
Generally can choose contour shape finishing and parallel finishing two knife road to make
local processing .
f.Gypsum appearance
Gypsum appearance has three effects. One is to put the gypsum filling on the front, can
effectively enhance the structural strength after solidification; Second is milling plane, the
milling plane can be used as a base plane for negative positioning .Third is milling outline.
