Six Steps of Prototype Making

Prototype model is a kind of model often used in the production of industrial design. Currently, most of the prototype manufacturers use the CNC machining center to achieve the production. The process of the prototype making often go through the following steps:

1. Programming: It is the first step of prototype making, programmers will analyze the 3D data of the product, and write the programming language which control the CNC machining center.
2. CNC Processing: Insert the programming language into the computer, then process products according to the order of the programme
3. Manual Processing: The product after the renovation process and the completion of checking data, clearing edges, grinding etc. These processes can be processed by manually.
4. Surface Treatment: Through various methods to realize the surface effect of the effect drawing. The methods of post processing mainly are spraying and electroplating. The anodic oxidation and drawing also can be used in individual cases.
5. Assembly: After finished the surface treatment, then need to assemble the parts and test data. Before we do the surface treatment, generally we should do the trial assembly work to ensure the performance of the facility.
6. Packaging: After the completion of the product processing, then we need to do the quality control and package the products.

However, the above steps just some simple work steps, when you do the actual operation, we should according to the style of the management, enterprise scale etc. factors to decide so that we process product by a more appropriate way.
