Prototype manufacturing is widely used in and plays an important role in modern
manufacturing industries.Before mass production ,many products need to be proofed
in advance to check whether it meets requirement or not.Prototype is the first step
to verify the product feasibility and also the most effective and direct way to identify
design defect, deficiency and shortcoming.
What is the function of prototype?
1.To check whether product appearance is qualified. When designers incorporate their own enterprise
culture and brand culture into the design,so the appearance is a most important part. The prototype can
be used to verify the appearance of batch production before it is in mass-production,such as gloss,
fine, rigidity. Prototype precisely represent design. If its appearance isn’t qualified,
it must be modified and improved.
2. To check whether the structural design is reasonable. Many products need to be processed
in various components before they are produced.That is to say, many of them are assembled into
final product .Therefore, prototype is fabricated and then assembled to come up to whether assembly
is qualified and whether clearance is fine and whether it is easy to install. In the same way,
problem needs to be fixed, and prototype will be proofed until the final decision is made
to meet requirements.
3.Product promotion . The current product market is complicatedly changeable
and new products cometo the market every day.With regard to seize the market,
the manufacturer generally has proofed prototype sample in advance, sprayed it paint
and polished it up.Then took beautiful photos and videos,which is a good idea to use
these materials to launch marketing advertisement ahead of time.
4.Prototype can save manufacturing cost. The cost of mould-making is too high. You need to constantly
modify once you have found any mistake of design. Unlike prototype manufacturing, you just need to
modify your 3D drawing once there is some wrong in your drawing and make another prototype
until it is qualified.
