The
classfication of Aluminum surface finishing
fields. Some fields have strict requirements on quality and appearance of
products. For this reason, a large d eal of prototypes need manual handling
after being machined. Then, how many post-processing steps are demanded to
shape an aluminum alloy prototype with perfect appearance ?
1.Polishing.
Polish the finished aluminum prototype to smooth their burr, and assemble
those parts into a finished product.
2.Spray paint.
According to different requirements for appearance and color of prototype,
we need to paint the surface of those finished aluminum alloy prototypes.
By doing this, we can make the surface color of prototype looks brighter
and vivider,and the appearance looks more textured.
3. Silk-screen.Silk-screen is to engrave company’s LOGO, name, etc. on prototype.
4. Laser carving.
We use laser carving to remove some oil paint on products and make
them transparent. Such as car DVD and the keypads on non-smartphone.
5.Electroplating.
In order to highlight the details on products, we will tint a layer of
flipping silver just to make those details look lighter and shinier.
Such as the LOGO of IPHONE and SAMSUNG. Both of their shells adopt
electroplating technology .
6.Anodized treatment.
Anodized treatment means to process the appearance of product, let it
oxidize and become hard, thus form a layer of film. If so, products
can be prevented from scratch.
7.Brushing and gloss. It means to pull out many fine lines so as to make
products look more textured. At the same time, we can also utilize
Hi-speed
CNC to mill aluminum alloy prototype again to reach the gloss surface.
8.Sandblasting.
Some prototypes are demanded to spray a layer of sandy
things to make them
look more textured.
9.UV processing.
Spray a layer of clean oil on the surface of products and
dry it.
UV coating can protect it from scratch. Furthermore, it will form a protective
film on surface and the service life of products will be
prolonged.
Of course, the 9 steps above are not necessary for every sort of aluminum
prototype. The
specific step depends on manufacturers’ requirements.
Post-processing not only
can achieve a gorgeous appearance of aluminum
prototype ,but also its service
life will be prolonged.
