We should try to avoid mistakes during
CNC processing, but it is impossible to never go wrong in our custom processing industry. In this case, how to remedy once the mistakes happen? Generally, we can use the remedy material to fill in the area where has been over cut or cut wrong. The most commonly remediation material are atomic ash or 502 glue mixed prickly heat powder used in the prototype industry.
Atomic ash is a kind of gelatinous goo, which need to cooperate with the driers to solidification. Import atomic ash is more expensive, for example, Germany Bentex-autodody-filler costs more than 100$ per 250g, while the domestic atomic ash is relatively cheaper which costs more than 50$ per 850g.
502 glue mixed prickly heat powder : take a suitable amount of powder mixed with 502 glue until become a thin paste, then get the mixed material to fill in the over cut area after it dry to process again.
The premise of the remediation is that the parts must be non-transparent., for the transparent part is not allowed leaving traces of adhesive. Generally, the remedy is for plastic parts. The material of non-transparent parts are ABS, POM, PA. While the PMMA and PC are the material of transparent parts.
Especially PMMA, we usually called organic glass. We should pay special attention to the material during processing because of its special properties. For example, it is brittle and breaks, even can not have traces of adhesive, once cut too quickly may cause the whole material broken, then the whole prototype is discarded. Therefore, PMMA prototype is more expensive than other prototypes.
