The manufacturing method of structural prototype
Prototype can be divided into exterior prototype and structural prototype
according to the fuction. The exterior prototype is similar to real product
in appearance but it is solid inside without any function. However, structural prototype
is hollow and functional and its inside has electronic parts and components.
For example, if customer requires a mobile phone structural prototype,
this mobile phone can be used to call up.
Prototype can be manufactured out in short time and can be convert 3D drawing
to real product. You can evaluate appearance and structural comprehensively and
correctly before moulding in big batch to reduce market risk. In other words,
may informally, under the condition of no molding, prototype is fuctional sample
according to 3D drawing, which can inspect appearance and reasonable structure.
Its accuracy error is ±0.1mm and production cycle is 3 days to 7 days, which save
the development cycle and cost.
Generally, most protoptypes are manufactured out by CNC machine, but now
another prototype manufacturing method have risen--3D printing. But the surface
of prototypes manufactured out by 3D printing is very rough. Up to now,
CNC manufacturing method is still first choice to manufacture prototype.
