The Notices of CNC Prototype Programming
With the rapid development of CNC technology, CNC have directly
drive the rapid development of whole industry from semi-automatic
miller to five-axis nc programming machining. In CNC prototype
industry, the material of product is relatively complicate but mainly
plastic material. Because the workpiece of prototype is a small
amount but technology is ever-changing. So Leecheer summarize
some notices of CNC prototype programming.
1. The disassembling drawing of mock up needs to be preciseness.
The programmer should have comprehending and understanding
of the product process and don’t pursue effectiveness and
overlook the essence of prototype. They should also consider
the fluency of post-working.
2. Programmer should have sufficient understanding of the
performance of all kinds of CNC equipment, which aviod overqualify.
3. Programmers should be very familiar with various parameters of
all kinds of cutters. The choice of reasonable of cutter will get
twofold results with half the effort.
4. After machining with big cutter, the small cutter should be used to
clear away oddments. For first cutting, fly-cutter or metal
cutter are used frequently. The margin should be consistent
and the cutter can be removed.
5. The steel resistance of white steel cutter, so the rotation
rate cann’t be too fast.
6. The four corner of correction table should be milled to flat.
7. When the workpiece is too high, the workpiece should be
machined by cutters with different length.
8. When clean right angle, the size of R angle should be
checked and then the size of cutter can be confirmed.
9. If the inclination is integral, Angle End Mills should be
used so it can settle a matter at one go.
10. Before each working procedure, the margin of each
working procedure should be figured to avoid empty cutter.
11. The routine of cutter should be simple as much as
possible, such as appearance, chamfer, single face.
