What are the advantages of
CNC prototype processing method?
The principle of the
CNC prototype processing is the whole piece of plastid material being carved by CNC machine according to the product shape designed by customers.
The biggest advantage of
CNC prototype is the material is very close to the engineering material, so the prototype by CNC processing is the most product which meet customers’ requirement.
When the products designed by customers need to make prototype, prototype manufacturers also can adopt SLA machining and SLS machining, except for CNC machining. But the processing material of SLA is photosensitive resin whose toughness is poor and heat resistance is not high, when prototype has roughness and high heat resistance requirements, the SLA prototype will not meet customers’ requirements. While the material of SLS is powder of nylon which can meet the requirements of high heat resistance and roughness, but if the material is not powder of nylon instead of other else, SLS machining cannot process. So the CNC processing is the best solution to realize customer’s prototype manufacturing, and the material of CNC prototyping is unlimited, any engineering material can be processed.
Another biggest advantage is the size of CNC prototyping has no limited, and its cost is much cheaper than SLA machining and SLS machining. When customers’ product with large size, we can split the part which need to process to several small pieces, and then bonding the small pieces after processing thus to realize the goal of cutting processing cost. While the material of SLA machining and SLS machining are not fit for connecting, so they are not fit for adopting this method.
