Product ingredients need to modify, or input the information during molding, or attach information
to the prototype model after molding, these all need to comprehensive decription,refinement,and
explain on the sketch.
If the prototype model is color or colored in its internal,then the color system must be determined,
these colors are provided by the resin or paint.For example,add the organic pigments, dye or color
powder sample into the matrix resin. The color system also must be tested in the final product , to
ensure that the paint not degrade the performance of the resin. If possible,the composition of the
paint mixing ratio should be provided by the seller. The harmful effects of some organic pigments
to the physical properties of the matrix resin is not obvious when the content is low .Some plastic
may required very clean,need surface treatment before decoration and eliminate static electricity.
If need special processing and preparation, you need to point out in the sketch and production
drawings. The modification increased the value of the prototypes.But if not properly,will become
defective, it will reduce profits, and cause customer complaints.
The modification of the prototype can be completeed by a variety methods,such as mould
modification, coloring, decals, with metal processing, electroplating, etc. The modify work is
usually completed in the factory, but more specific work such as electroplating, metal processing
are done by outside vendors. If it is done in outdoor, need to contact the seller, to determine the
operation requirements of the surface treatment in the modified . Maybe need to make special
clean treatment,maybe not.Generally, if the modified method during the modification cause
prototype model broken,then need to select a specific condition to reduce the molding stress of
the products. This kind of phenomenon often seen during the plastic make surface metal
processing. At the same time, the influence on the material and the modified process of prototype
model also need to be discussed, such as cleaning solution, solvent, etching agent, coloring
drying time and temperature, etc.The modified products taken out from the standard production,
need to make the final inspection after molding as soon as possible,to ensure not result the
product stress during molding process, the stress will cause problems in the process of
modification and the final application .
