Manufacture Plan of CNC Prototype
CNC Prototype manufacture is an important link for r&d department to test the appearance
and structure of new product. Because of fast speed and low cost, it reduce largely the
development expenses ,time, and risks of product. Prototype can meet the performance test
during product development process. When manufacturing, customers should provide
two-dimensional drawing, 3D drawings, prototype list.
Responsibility Assignment
1. Organizational structure staffs are responsible for schedule and quality of prototype manufacturing.
2. Prototype staffs are responsible for appearance and accuracy of prototype.
3. Prototype group arranges staff to spray paints.
4. Organizational structure staffs are responsible for assembly according to assemble drawing.
5. Organizational structure staffs are responsible for quality checking.
Matters needing attention of prototype manufacture
1. Conventional prototype. This kind of prototype usually made by ABS, because it is easy to
process and post-processing of prototype will be much pretty.
2. Prototype of heat resistance. There are many materials can be chose such as epoxy resin, Bakelite,
black PC and PA. Except black PC can be cut into seperate parts, the other three should be processed entirely.
3. Prototype of wear resistance. POM or PA can be chose. These two material cannot be cut into
seperate parts, need to be processed in solid.
4. Prototype of high tenacity. PA or PP can be chose.3.These two material cannot be cut into
seperate parts, need to be processed in solid.
5. Transparent prototype. Clear PMMA, Clear ABS, Clear PC can be chosed.
The prototype manufactured out by these materials can be high polished to achieve
high transparent and achieve the same effect of real product.
6. The surface finishing of prototype includes spraying paints, plating, sand-blasting, silk-screen
and transfer printing. The surface effect includes glossy surface, matt surface , sandy surface,
transparence; translucence;fluorescence; and rubber oil.
