CNC prototype can be divided into laser rapid prototyping (SLA/SLS) and CNC processing,both
have their special processing materials.
1.SLA/SLSLaser rapid prototyping can be divided into SLA and SLS according the raw material.
SLA is a kind of process using three-dimensional carving (Stereolithography) principle , also
called selective curing photosensitive resin, is one of the earliest rapid prototyping technology.
The process is as below:filled with liquid photosensitive resin in the resin tank, it will rapid
solidification under the irradiation of ultraviolet laser . At the start of the molding process, the
workbench which can be lift is in the height of the liquid level to the next section thickness, the
focused laser beam will scan along the liquid surface according the requirements of the cross
section contour under the controlling of the computer.It will make the resin curing of the scanned ,
to get the resin flake of the cross section contour.Then, the workbench fell down a thin layer hight,
the cured resin sheet will be covered by a new layer liquid resin,so that can be for the second laser
scanning, the new curing firm bonding in the previous layer, repeat until the entire finished product
molding. Finally wash, support, secondary consolidation, smooth surface treatment etc.SLA is fit for
small and middle workpieces,can get the resin and the prototype similar to the engineering plastic.
Prototypes with SLA rapid prototyping system with good surface quality and high resolution, high
forming precision.
The processing method of SLS is similar with SLA,but use powder material instead of liquid
photopolymer, and with a certain scanning speed and energy acting on powder materials.
In the process of forming, laser parameters, the characteristics of powder and sintering
atmosphere are important factors affecting the quality of sinter forming. SLS rapid prototyping
can produce the hardest prototype, and you can use a variety of raw materials, such as the
vast majority of engineering plastic, wax, metals, ceramics, etc., parts of the construction of
high speed, don't need to make after correction of the parts, no need design and support of
the construction.

2.CNC rapid prototyping
CNC is widely used in mechanical processing industry, the technology is relatively mature.
Used for prototype processing. Effect and precision are also very good, it is the first choice
of the prototyping processing.
