Before spraying coating, CNC prototype needs to be polished.
The points that smooth level of CNC prototype, right angle and
trace of joints need to be considered. After we finish polish and
before spraying coating, we need to spray ash on surface of part
to check the surface smooth enough or not . If they are ok,
color coating can be sprayed. The exact PMS number need to be provided.
Spraying coating is a common technology in prototype industry.
Because the manufacturing process of a good prototype,
it not only need good CNC equipment, but also need many post processing
which inculdes polishing, assembly and spraying coating etc.
The method of spraying coating on prototype adopts air compression
to form airflow, which will bring painting into sucker. The painting goes through
jet and forms a kind of vaporous oil layer. If this oil layer spray on prototype surface evenly,
the surface gloss will be pretty good.
Except glossiness, the prototype with many gaps and dead angles
also can be sprayed and even effect. Some kinds of prototypes are difficult to spray,
such as POM and PP material which don’t have painting stickiness.
