During the nachining of prototype, the CNC numerically-controlled
machine tool should be usually used, which occupy about
80% in the whole prototype processing volume. The materials of
CNC prototype are ABS, PMMA, PC, PP, POM and so on. ABS is
the most common material,which can be glued, splited to machine,
strong viscidity of polishing and spraying.
The machining details of CNC prototype
1.Conventional CNC prototype: ABS material is generally selected
by manufacturers. Prototype made from ABS is easy to machine
and pretty post-processing.
2. CNC prototype with high temperature resistance.Ethoxyline resin,
Pheno, balck PC, PA can be selected. Except black PC, other three
materials should be machined in whole part.
3. CNC prototype with abrasive resistance. POM or PA can be
selected. These two materials should be machined in whole part.
4. CNC prototype with hightenacity. PA or PP should be selected.
These two materials should be machined in whole part.
5. CNC transparent prototype. PMMA,transparent ABS, transparent
PC can be selected. CNC prototype made from such material have
the effect of real product after polishing.
6. The surface finished of CNC prototype can be divided into spraying,
plating, polishingm, silk-screen, pad printing. The spraying of prototype
can be divided into glossy surface, matte surface, texture surface,
transparency, semitransparency, fluorescence color and rubber oil.
