1.The design of the parts should be reasonable,choose the best structure program as
possible ,the design of the parts need to consider the technology requirements and
its structure should comply with the prototype model manufacturing process and feasibility.
2.The design of prototype model is the most important step to improve the prototype model
quality.We need to take many factors into account ,including the selection of prototype
model material,the availability and safety of prototype model structure,the workability
of the prototype model parts,and convenience of repairing prototype model.These all need
to be considered at the early stage of the design.
The selection of prototype model not only need to meet the customer’s requirements,but
also consider the cost of the material and its strength of the setting cycle.Of course,
need to choose according prototype model type,the use of work,processing speed,main
failure mode,etc.For example: the main failure mode of die is edge wear,we should choose
the material with high hardness surface,good resistance.The stamping die mainly exposed
to cyclic loading, easy to cause surface fatigue cracks, leading to surface peeling,then
should to select good surface toughness material; drawing die should choose low friction
material.
