The Common materials of Prototype and Types of Post-processing
The common materials of prototype as following;
CNC prototype materials: ABS (transparent,black, temperature resistance), 475slab
rubber,bakelite, plastic, POM, PMMA, PC,PP,PA,PVA, magnesium, aluminum, copper
and so on.
SLA material: Somos 14120 withe photosensitive resin.
Complex mode materials:domestic PU, import PU, transparent PU, soft PU, POM,
ABS and so on.
The common category of post-processing:
Polishing: After machined, there are the problem of rag. Prototype need to be
polished to improve surface smoothness.
Burnishing : This post-processing is to the prototype which has high requirement of
surface finished. Prototype need to be burnished to meet the effect of specular.
Spraying:If the prototype have the requirement of color, the prototype should be
sprayed according to Pantone number.
Silk-screen: printing letter or pattern on prototype according AI file provided by customers.
Laser etching: The oil paint on the surface of prototype should be wiped out by laser and
make some parts light transmittable, such as the mobile telephone keyboard ,DVD keyboard.
Plating: highlight some details of prototype with colors such as silver bright chromium, black
chromium, red bright copper, ,antique,silver plating,palladium plating,cobalt plating.
Anodizing: anodizing is to make the oxidizing reaction of aluminous surface, which form a skim
to paint all kind of color and make it not easy to be scratched.
Wire drawing : wire drawing on the surface of aluminum to make it with better texture.
UV: Prototype are put clean oil and dry them with UV machine, which like a protective
layer more bright and not easy to be scratched.
Sand blast: blast a transparent prototype into semitransparent.
