During the manufacturing of the prototype,the most common processing methods are CNC
processing and Rapid Prototyping processing,besides,when meet small lot production,we
often adopt silicon mold and RIM manufacturing.
1.CNC prototype,The advantage is it can be very accurate reflect expression information of
drawings, and the surface quality is high, especially after finishing surface coating and silk
screen, it is more glorious than open mould to produce .So CNC prototype manufacturing
become the mainstream of the prototype manufacturing more and more.
2.RP prototype,means rapid prototyping ,the advantage is its speedability.But it is mainly
through the stacking technology molding, and RP prototype general relatively rough, and
there are ceratin requirements of the product wall thickness , such as if the wall thickness
is too thin cannot be produced. SLA and SLS are suitable for making complicated structure
and high accuracy samples, for the characteristics of brittle materials ,SLA is suitable for
appearance sample; And SLS is more suitable for rapid molding samples which have the
requirements of hardness.
3.Silicon mold,this processing method under condition of small batch test cases , based
on the 3D drawings or physical to produce the corresponding silicone mold, then use silicon
mold for vacuum casting molding manufacture the sample, a set of silicon mold can pour out
of the amount of products is fifteen to twenty pieces, it has cost advantage for the small batch
trial-produce.
