Process of Silicone Prototype Casting
The silicone to make a series of silicone prototype is a kind of flowing liquid.
No matter what kinds of color, their quality are the same. A group is flowing
liquid and B group is hardener.Firstly mould die should be finished.Colloid
added into 2-3% hardener makes mould die. The mould possesses the features
of non-defrmation,shrink-resistance and high temperature resistance,
so it can be repeatedly used. The shrinking percentage of product can reach 0.2%,
which is mainly used into prototype and small batch production.
The fabrication technique of silicone prototype
The methods of open mold are packet modulo, brush casting (collapsible mould,
the three-dimensional model), perfusion modulus,which is decided by
the size of product.
1. Packet modulo : dirt with 3~5mm is covered on die to be cottle.
And then silicone and hardener will be put into cottle to solidify prototype.
2. Brush casting:according to the requirement of mould, it generally
brush three layers. The first layer vacuumize and brush on mould.
The second layer should paste gauze. The third layer solidify prototype.
3. Perfusion modulus: silicone and hardener should put into mould
and solidify prototype with vacuum-pumping.
The characteristic of silicone prototype
1. Low viscosity,good mobility and easy operation.
2. Small shrinkage rate,non-defrmation.

The operation of silicone prototype
1. Firstly mould die should be good finishe. Because if your mould is
not prefect enough, A group is flowing liquid and B group is hardener.
If your mould made by silicone is not good enough, the prototype will
be not smooth enough.
2. Vacuum treatment. When sillicone and hardener mixed up,
the vacuum treatment cannot be too long. Because bubble produced
when mixed up, so vacuum treatment is need.
3. Put the silicone into mould.
