The importance of physical model

Physical model is not only the important tool of the industrial designers to design and explore, 
but also the key link from design to manufacturing process.Model making is not only a course 
which can improve the practical ability of skill training.More important is 
1.Should grasp the 
method to explore and refine the design concept by sketch-mode,improve the awareness of the 
material ,shape,and processing possibility.
2.To lay the groundwork for truly enter into the field of manufacturing,make them understand the
 possibility and requirements of modern advanced manufacturing conditions on the product design. 
For these purposes,the modern industrial design model curriculum should not only focus on the 
design concepts and expertise import should be added more content and training to enable 
students to master advanced digital manufacturing-based sketch-mode design research methods
 and digital model making knowledge and technology.
